About Dan
Hi, I'm Dan (he/him/his). I'm so glad that you're here! I'm a licensed psychologist in Pennsylvania. I was trained as a counseling psychologist at University of North Dakota, where I pursued my Ph.D.
I work with people who want to feel more fulfilled. Often clients begin therapy in order to manage difficulty in relationships, or when feelings of anxiety or depression feel unmanageable. Therapy begins with building a trusting foundation between us. It's through this relationship that we can explore the feelings and experiences that bring you to therapy. For many clients, our work involves exploring conflicts and traumatic experiences that we've held closely for a long time: with family members, friends, relationships, or even within ourselves. But therapy also involves looking at the strengths and tools that you have developed, that make you uniquely you. I often includes exploring both internal factors and external, systemic and social justice issues that influence day-to-day experiences in the world, life, and relationships.
Personally, I'm deeply passionate about creative arts: I love painting, reading, and cooking. I also love a good walk in the woods with my small, delightful dog Misha, who sometimes joins in person sessions.
